Dr. Vickers is a board-certified neurologist and fellowship-trained neuro-ophthalmologist who moved to Las Vegas from California in 2012. Dr. Vickers was originally born and raised in the south of France and moved to Southern California in 2000. There, she completed high school and later graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. During her undergraduate years, she fulfilled her passion for teaching by tutoring her peers in French and Mathematics. 

Following her undergraduate years, Dr. Vickers attended medical school at Touro University in Northern California. As a medical student, Dr. Vickers participated in numerous volunteer activities. She was the president of ACOFP and went on to win the ACOFP Humanitarian Award as well as the ACOFP Leadership Award in 2011. She also continued her passion for teaching by tutoring medical students in Neurology.

After obtaining her medical degree, Dr. Vickers completed her Neurology residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas, where she served as Chief resident. During her residency training, Dr. Vickers received several awards including Outstanding Resident of the Year, Above and Beyond Peer-to-Peer Recognition, and Commitment to Service Excellence. During this time, she also designed and authored a clinical pocketbook for her colleagues: “A Neurology Survival Guide for Medical Students, Internal Medicine, and Neurology Residents”.

 Upon finishing her Neurology residency, Dr. Vickers went on to complete a fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology at Houston Methodist Hospital under the mentorship of Neuro-Ophthalmology guru, Dr. Andrew G. Lee. During her fellowship, she helped advance the field of Neuro-ophthalmology through numerous publications including case reports, book chapters, and EyeWiki articles. She was recognized for her editorial achievements by the EyeWiki editors for “editing or adding 10 or more articles” for the year 2017-2018.

Following her fellowship, Dr. Vickers returned to Las Vegas to serve the community she has grown to love, joining the Las Vegas Neurology Center in 2018. She serves as faculty and attending physician for the Neurology residency program at Valley Hospital Medical Center. She is an instructor of Neurology for Touro University Nevada, College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is also the Assistant Director for the Neurology question bank for TrueLearn, a smartbank for medical exam preparation. Additionally, she continues her role as Editorial Board Consultant for EyeWiki.

Dr. Vickers is a member of several professional societies including the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Neurology, and the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society where she serves on the Patient Information Committee. Outside of work, Dr. Vickers enjoys spending time with her husband and three young children. She enjoys hiking, traveling, and the occasional game night.
